New for 2006.
New for 2006, is a "Crush-Grind" mechanism. This a mechanism that I originally found in 1994 in an English Craft Supply catalog. However I found that with their shipping rates to Texas it tripled the cost, so I did not use it. Now they have showed up in the Craft supply industry in the USA. This is my first one, which is 11.5" tall (I can make anywhere from 6" to 11.5" tall. The mechanism is ceramic and is multi purpose for pepper, salt, spices, herbs and blends like curries. The ceramic mechanism is totally corrosion resistant, and equals the best in the world like Peugeot's fantastic pepper mill--and heretofore unrivaled. There is an adjusting "Spice Wheel" located in the bottom, easy to adjust from fine to coarse, just move it toward the larger circles for fine to coarse.
The Ceramic Crush Grind requires the drilling of 5 different sized holes to properly install this mechanism, so it is a difficult project.
