I make Pepper and Salt Mills in segmented form, using 12 segments for each ring that is 1/2" thick, and glue them together to proper size for 6",8",10" Pepper and Salt mills. I turn them on a $5000 One-Way wood lathe. The segments must be precisely cut to fit together perfectly, after gluing up segment rings, I must sand them so both sides are smooth and parallel. I use a Performax Drum sander for this it is a $1500 machine. I only point this out so you can understand the equipment and work involved. I use several other woodworking tools, like a large table saw, bandsaw, jointer, planer, and belt/disk sander; that also used in this whole process. I also make only pepper mills in 14" & 24" tall. I use different woods, Colorwoods, & Dymondwood for these products.

For the Kamado handles I use Dymondwood(made in large sheets by Rutland Plywood, in Vermont) , because it has the hardness of Brass and is glued up with thermoplastic setting resins. This makes them very hardy in the outdoors. Knife makers use Dymondwood for handles, as well as pistol grips. You can go to Rutlands WEB site and read all about their products they are beautiful and tough.

I warrant my work so that any purchase can be returned for full refund (except shipping) if when you receive it it does not meet any of your expectations, of course having not been used.
